Located within Mabel’s mother’s country known as Springvale Station, situated (south of Warmun).

Is a place known as it’s traditional name “Nyawawoordoony”

“This is where they been cover up my grandfather for body” Mabel talks about a particular hill that is described within her artwork – seen in many colourful traditional dots as they outline the figure of a hill as well as a circular shape that can be seen sitting just atop of the hill.

Mabel’s grandfather’s body was put a rest there and is still there today. This area as Mabel says is also a place where the old people use to go and collect mawoondool (white ochre)
