This painting captures the spirit of a good day out bush—where the trees are full, the air is warm, and Country is alive with stories.

Rendered in ochre, rich earth tones, and textured brushstrokes, this bush-style artwork reflects what truly matters out here: gathering, sharing, and living with the land. You can see the jerry cans, the billy on the boil, and the bush tucker laid out—fresh bush oranges, maybe some sugarbag, damper cooking on the fire. The “Jackaroo” tin stands proud, a familiar sight at many old camps. These aren’t just everyday objects—they’re symbols of memory, of people sitting under the trees, yarning, teaching, and learning.

The hills in the background rise like old ancestors, standing watch, while the trees offer their shade as they always have. It’s quiet, but it’s full of life.
