This is a place called Queens Land Creek near Alice Downs Station “this is my mother and grandmother’s *country” Evelyn says that when she was a young woman, her and her family members would walk from Alice Downs to Queens Land Creek to visit.

Evelyn has painted the scenery of her country – where in the front the artist has included a small flat clearing with little anthills, sitting upright. In the middle are rugged earthly hills of her country (Alice Downs) as well as tree’s. Within the background there is an old tank filled with water “that tank is still there today”
