JIKERREL NGARRANGKARNI- Kingfisher Dreaming by Eileen Bray
The circles throughout the hills are waterholes created by the Jikerrel (the kingfisher bird) as he travelled across the country on his way to Balgo. He kept on travelling to Millstream in southern western Australia.
This is Yarrunga Country- my little mum Shirley Bray’s country- South of Warmun, near Alice Downs Station.
