‘Elephant Hill’ & Our ancestors burial caves by Shirley Purdie
This place is important, its for dad for mum, she barried in that hill and them been put her next to la tree, near la cave pull down the tree and put them in that cave.
At Elephant Hill on Kilpuny (pronounced Kilbun (Gilban) – Mabel Downs Station, which lies south west of Warmun) there are two rock holes. Shirley used to go there a lot to find bush tucker such as echidna and kangaroos.
